Crossman Cottage Dedication
Crossman Cottage Dedication

Rob Clark was not only genuine in his care for our children, but he was a father figure, a big brother, a great friend, and co-worker to many. Rob would often go out of his way to bring a smile to a child’s face, especially around the holidays. Rob’s sense of humor was recognized by everyone and his practical jokes were enough to keep you on your toes.
I am confident his memories will continue to surface on the campus of the Berea Children’s Home & Family Services and through the children we serve. The values of the Berea Children’s Home & Family Services are indicative of what Rob stood for and he would be proud of the accomplishments and the continuous efforts in regards to serving children and families, and the overall impact the Berea Children’s Home & Family Services has had on changing lives of others.

Robert J. Clark II Permanent Endowment Fund
A Perpetual Tribute to a Hero Who Believed in Helping Others

Rob Clark came to Berea Children's Home and Family Services in April, 1987 to help the children with serious emotional problems overcome the hurting in their hearts and move forward in becoming happy and productive individuals.

He began as a child care worker and was quickly noticed for his hard work and dedication. He was promoted to Crossman Cottage manager in 1988. For the next four years, he served in this capacity overseeing the staff that provided child care and treatment to ten troubled male youths ages 9-14 years old.

Rob with Kid on BikeRob was known and well-liked by the children because he cared, set clear expectations, and listened to them. After his passing a room was dedicated in his honor. This room was a place where Rob would take someone who was having a problem to listen and counsel them in making better decisions.

The Robert J. Clark II Permanent Endowment Fund is a permanent part of Berea Children's Home and Family Services overall endowment.

Only the annual income from this endowment fund shall be used for:
