Throughout his career with the Cleveland Police Department, Rob earned many honors.

April, 1997: Letter of Recognition from Chief City Prosecutor Stephanie Tubbs Jones and the Greater Cleveland Crime Prevention Committee
March, 1997: Medal and Award for highest number of auto theft arrests & recoveries 1995-1996.
October 1994, 1995, 1996: Citizens Award, presented by community and police members for outstanding service
April, 1996: Distingushed Service Medal for capture of 4 armed suspects wanted for a gang style execution
December, 1995: Distinguished Service Medal for apprehension of 3 suspects for grand theft motor vehicle and aggravated robbery
August, 1995: Awarded Chief's Accommodation for dedication of duty

his great-grandfather, Patrolman George Shearer,
a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, police officer who was
killed in a gun battle on May 12, 1914.
